Even though my background is in sociology and political science, my work is now focused mostly on narrative; my current research project is entitled the Conceptual History of Narrative. There is much talk about the interdisciplinary narrative turn; however, narrative usually means highly different approaches in literature, social sciences, education or history. This bundle of many narrative turns is the present heart of my research.

Additionally, I am leading the research team Politics and the Arts in the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Political Thought and Conceptual Change (University of Jyväskylä; see also the international “Politics and the Arts” homepage). I am also the convener of the Finnish Network of Narrative Studies (Kertonet), and a virtual fellow at the Centre for Narrative and Auto/Biographical Studies [ website: <http://www.sps.ed.ac.uk/NABS/> ]
