Even though my background is in sociology and political science, my work is now focused mostly on narrative; my current research project is titled the Conceptual History of Narrative. Furthermore, I am organizing the 3rd Tampere Conference on Narrative, Knowing, Living, Telling, 27–30 June 2007, and I am the contact person for the Finnish Network of Narrative Studies (Kertonet, see the homepage). Additionally, I am leading the research team Politics and the Arts in the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Political Thought and Conceptual Change (University of Jyväskylä; see also international “Politics and the Arts” homepage). As for literature, I am writing on Paul Auster, narrative, and politics.
